Synopsis
The Namsadang (itinerant troupe) in the Joseon dynasty had a tradition to yell ‘Gom-bang-yi-teot-da’ to ask for performance permission. The gesture carries the sorrow and beauty of grassroots life across the century. The symbolic shackle worn by Joseph Kim oscillates effortlessly between unresolved social injustice and the yearn for freedom.
