Synopsis
Breath is perhaps the most blatant protest against unspoken body politics: distorted sports culture, the blind pursuit of physical productivity and the risk of being treated as human capital. ‘Faster, Higher, Stronger’ has a deeper meaning to the Singaporean dancer, whose national identity is equivalent to the GDP. Can she reclaim her body from the exhaustion of a HIIT-like performance?
