Han is a 34-year-old from Keelung, Taiwan, and graduated from the Dance Department of the National Taipei University of the Arts (Masters). Before the age of 15, she learned folk dance, and after turning 15, she officially entered school to receive formal training in various dance styles such as ballet, modern dance, contemporary dance, and improvisation. Graduating at the top of her class, she was admitted to the Dance Department of the National Taipei University of the Arts, with dance performance as her life goal.
In 2017, she joined Hung Dance and currently works as a full-time dancer and rehearsal director for the company. She participates in the company’s major productions as a lead dancer, and has toured both domestically and internationally, leaving footprints across Europe, Asia, America, Australia, and Africa. She has performed over 160 shows and has received 13 international awards. One of the notable works she has performed in, “Birdy,” has won the first prize at the “New York and Burgos International Choreography Competition” in Spain. Critic Lin Yu-shih once mentioned in a review that Cheng Yi-han’s presence is incredibly strong, capturing the audience’s undivided attention on the stage, almost to the point of breathlessness.
